Mukdenia is rock garden or woodland garden plants, creeping, with large maple-shaped leaves. They are native in Korea and selected cultivars in Japan.

These are rock garden or woodland garden plants, creeping, with large maple-shaped leaves. This variety has leaves that emerge yellow, mellowing to chartreuse. Best in cool-summer areas, or in shade near water. Japanese selection of a Korean native.

Mukdenia rosii 'Shishiba' Zones 4-8 #050-007
Woodland perennial from Korea for cool shade; likes to grow among rocks and near streams. This is grown mostly for its attractive foliage, but the white flowers are also attractive. This new Japanese selection has deeply cut leaves for a different textural effect. Easier in cool summer climates.
